Vacancy: Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistants – Level 2 –  Reception/KS1/Year 3

Level 2 – 30 hours per week,  TEMPORARY until the end of the summer term.  Job share/part time applicants will be considered.

Salary Scale 2 5-6 (£19,312- £19,698 Pro rata – Term-time only. Actual salary is  £14,789 – £15,084 for 30 hours a week)

 

We are seeking to appoint caring teaching assistants to join our committed, professional and friendly team.  The successful candidates will be required to support teaching in the classroom, deliver small group sessions and work closely, but not solely, with a child with additional needs. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a good rapport with children and is able to engage them in their learning 
  • is able to work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve
  • is willing and able to share good practice and learn from others
  • is able to promote the aims and values of the school
  • is well organised and punctual

 

We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:

 

  • have experience in or a desire to work in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Year 3.
  • have a proven track record of supporting a child with medical needs or an interest in doing so
  • have experience of successfully children with additional needs (including communication and interaction needs, ASD and SEMH) or a desire to do so
  • have a good standard of spoken and written English

 

 

The successful candidate will be expected to meet all aspects of the job description.

 

This is a temporary fixed term contract until the end of the summer term.  Applications for job share will be considered.
