Are you passionate about pupil well-being for primary aged pupils? We are!

We are a happy and successful two form entry school, located in the south of the city of Cambridge.  With over 400 children aged 4-11 our proximity to the University and Addenbrooke’s Hospital means we serve a diverse, multi-national school community.  Through our creative approaches we strive to make learning irresistible and believe everyone should enjoy their time in school (children and adults!) We are proud of the fact that our pupil surveys show over 94% of our children say they enjoy learning and have a positive attitude. (Pupil Survey 2021) We are still working on the remaining 6%!

Having worked with us for the past four years our Pupil Wellbeing Lead is moving on and so we are looking for someone who shares our passion to be able to keep this aspect of our work moving forward.

The role of Pupil Well-Being Lead offers a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our team and help shape pastoral care and wellbeing. This key role will include:

  • Contributing to the development of policy and leading on the delivery of wellbeing initiatives across the school
  • Supporting staff development and raising awareness of wellbeing and SEMH related issues
  • Working with other agencies to signpost services, access resources and  where appropriate contribute to Team Around the Family meetings
  • Liaising with designated safeguarding leads and school leaders to determine allocation of resources and agree provision for individuals at risk of poor mental health or wellbeing
  • Delivering sessions for parents and carers to enable them to support wellbeing at home.

We can offer:

  • *Flexible, part-time hours – (5 half days per week or 2.5 full days by agreement)
  • Positive working environment with designated pupil support space
  • Friendly, supportive colleagues
  • Competitive salary

*For those with suitable qualifications and experience able to provide therapeutic services (such as pupil counselling or therapy) additional hours could be added to the role.

Visits to the school are usually welcomed and encouraged however at present due to COVID restrictions we are unable to offer this. Should you have any questions about the role or our school please  contact the school office and we would be happy to provide you with further information or arrange an informal chat.
