In October 2020 the government announced additional funding would be given to schools to support children to catch up lost time after school closures. The funding is particularly aimed at supporting the most vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils who may have fallen behind and ensuring the curriculum meets the varying needs of all of our pupils.
The school expects to receive £32,000 to provide additional, targeted support and help accelerate progress.
In deciding how best to use this funding the school is taking into consideration Education Endowment Fund research into effective practice and what is likely to have most impact.
Our plan includes:
- investing in developing teaching so that all pupils benefit
- identifying children who would benefit from more targeted support including tutoring or small group work
- wider strategies to support attendance and learning at home
